Champions league Bodo Glimt - Dinamo Zagreb : Preview and prediction

Bodo Glimt Dinamo Zagreb match analysis

Both teams will want to win to gain an advantage before the return leg.

The form of both teams

Bodo Glimt have been in impressive form and easy to get to grips with, especially at home, and have been running over their opponents in all previous rounds, apart from the first round against the more affordable Faroese side Klaksvik. After that, the reigning Norwegian champions followed up with a big win over Linfield of Northern Ireland and then did the same against Zalgiris (5-0 win at home). In the league, too, the Norwegian team has no time to laugh.

After 18 games, they are in 2nd place, 5 points behind Molde, but with a total of 48 goals scored (best attack in the league). To come back to the goals, Bodo has scored 32 in the last 7 games in all competitions, with a big win at Sarpsborg 08 this weekend (1-4).

Against the quarter finalists of the last Champions League, the blue team of Zagreb are already comfortably installed on their leader's seat in the championship with 13 points in 5 games.

They have not lost a game, but have won against NK Lokomotiva (3-2), against Istra 1961 (4-1), at Slaven Belupo (1-5) and last weekend at home against the very serious Hajduk Split (4-1), whom they had already beaten to win the Croatian SuperCup at the very beginning of the season.

Bodo Glimt Dinamo Zabreg squad

Glimt is still without Sondre Fet (and the important Morten Konradsen), Ola Solbakken and the young defender Japhet Larsen who arrived this season (injured), as well as Moe Brede, who has been out for the last three games and has relapsed from his previous injury. In addition, starting goalkeeper Haikin is doubtful.

This summer, the Nigerian Victor Boniface (6 points in the league) signed for Belgium (Royale Union) during the off-season. However, the number one asset of this team, Amahl Pellegrino, is having one of his best seasons at the club with 17 goals in 16 games played.

On the Dinamo side, we have to note the excellent start of the season of the Swiss recruit Josip Drmic (3 goals in league) but also of the duo Orsic (3 goals, 2 assists) and Spikic (2 goals, 2 assists). The Macedonian midfielder Arijan Ademi, who scored two goals and set up an assist in the qualifiers, will be in the mix for this match, unlike the defender Josip Sutalo or the former Ligue 1 resident Théophile-Catherine (ex-Saint-Etienne and Rennes).

Not to mention promising youngster Marko Bulat (long-term injury) and substitute striker Rukavina. At the end of the previous season, Andric Komnen (6 goals, 2 assists) signed for Clermont.
